30 hand-picked seeds from organically grown plants in UK, minimum 7 varieties per pack. 

This is an winter squash which store well.  The large ones are about 6 inches  and the smaller ones 4 inches (10-12cm) diameter and weigh between 650- 250g each.

However,  do  allow to ripen in the autumn before storing. 

Great flavour - I usually cook them stuffed.  it can be used in a variety of soups, stews and casseroles. It can be made into cakes, quick breads, muffins, cookies, jams and pies. It can be baked, boiled, microwaved, steamed, sautéed or fried. This squash adds sweet flavour and texture to stir-fries.

Growing in the UK:

Sow two or three seeds on their side 1cm (0.5in) deep  indoors in a pot of compost using a propagator  (or on a warm windowsill) at  18-21C (65-70F).  

Keep the compost moist but not water logged. It takes usually 1-2 weeks for seedlings to appear.

Plant the strongest seedlings outdoors 90cm (3ft) apart after hardening off in late May to late June when they are at least 6 inch tall. Protect them from slugs and snails.

Grow them to maturity in full sun. Each vine produces multiple fruits. In small spaces, you can train them to grow up (over the garden shed or some vertical support)
