This Exquisite wooden vase is made from 300 pieces of walnut, cherry, maple, and purpleheart woods. Each of the 300 pieces are cut, sanded, assembled, and turned. The vase is then sanded with 5 different progressive grits of sand paper and finished with 6 coats of hand rubbed lacquer. There is no stain in the wood as each piece is its own natural color. I have added a flower, however when you receive it you will want to go to your local jeweler and purchase a nice one for display. There is an inscription on the top which reads "Where flowers bloom so does hope. The work is signed on the bottom. I have made many open ( vases and bowls ) and closed segmented turnings( Urns ) for sale. I also donate many of my special bowls to various charities for auctions to raise funds. Some of my works have been auctioned for several hundred dollars for the Alzheimer' Foundation. One third of the proceeds of this work will go to them. I know you will cherish this piece of art as have many of my patrons and auction winners. This is truly a unique item.
