Telefono a disco / Bordeaux / 1965 / Made in Sweden / Dimensioni: 20,5 x 21 x 11,5 cm

Swedish-manufactured telephone designed by AOS Arkitekter AB Ahlgren - Olsson and introduced to the swedish public in May 1965. A joint venture between Ericsson and Televerket (Swedish PTT) brought this robust telephone into service

Dialog or Dialogtelefonen was a Swedish telephone set for fixed telephony that was manufactured between 1962 and 1978.
In the mid-1950s, a committee was appointed with representatives of LM Ericsson and Televerket with the task of developing a new standard telephone for the Swedish market. The device that was still the "standard telephone" in Swedish homes was the heavy bakelite telephone from the 1930s, which changed only marginally. Through the success of the Ericophone , Ericsson had been given some respite, but now it was time to catch up with the foreign competition. In December 1958, the project was given the highest priority. The architectural firm AOS Ahlgren Olsson Silow Arkitektkontor ( Magnus Ahlgren , Torbjörn Olsson and Sven Silow ) was involved in the design.

Some of the prerequisites for the new model were:

- that the cover and handset would be made of thermoplastic and not of thermosetting plastic
- that the fingerboard would be of the model already introduced in the Ericovox device
- that the phone would be easily portable
- that its interior would not be completely dark with respect to insect protection in the tropics
- that the cover could be opened by the repairman with simple hand grips
- that the hook's reception of the handset would be further improved
- that its weight became considerably less than that of the old one
- that the distance between the microphone and the headphone would be shorter than on the previous model

The new device, decadic phone, was made of thermoplastic , which made it possible to offer the phone in many clear colors, but gray was the most common. The entire device was composed of seven replaceable parts: connection cable , cover , base plate , bell , lur , finger plate , electronic device with hook function .
Everything was held together by a single screw. On the back, under the handset, there was a comfortable carrying handle. The ring strength could be adjusted steplessly and the fact that the phone could be connected with a plug was a novelty.
Dialog was also available as a wall telephone and adapted to markets where the fingerboard began with the number "1".
