Meet Darco Piñatex, the unisex vegan backless two-strapped flat sandals made in Piñatex™, an organic material made from pineapple leaf fibres (80% pineapple leaf fibers, 20% PLA fibers), gripped instep vamp and toe with two wide straps both with an old golden metal buckle (free of nickel) to adjust.

With an upper made with an eco-friendly and innovative material, that also is lightweight, highly resistant, breathable, fresh, they are also lined with 100% recyclable microfibre, OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified, manufactured in a system free of CO2 emissions. This microfibre is breathable, averting foot’s sweating and suffocation making these sandals the perfect go-to to any warm sunny day.
In addition to being hypoallergenic they are also antibacterial and antimicrobial, which helps prevent the development of odours and allows wear people with skin problems.
Also has a soft, supple and breathable ergonomic footbed made of organic cork and rubber, which provides arch support. The footbed is lined with antibacterial and wet-absorbing OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified microfibre, which reaches much more stability, adapting to the foot without losing its original form.
Furthermore, has a very resistant sole made of recycled car tire which is an anti-skid, very resistant, insulating and a lightweight material.
This open-back model has two buckle-up straps that keeps the foot secure inside the shoe and allows for easy wearing.
As accent details, besides the golden buckles in the straps, has the company’s logo printed in black on the sock and a texture surface of fibers in sight.

For more difficult to remove stains, rub in a soft cleaning brush for shoes soaked with soapy water in a circular motion. Remove the soap with a damp cloth. Let your item air dry before wearing
You can use polish cream over its surface
Let your item air dry before any application. The application of a colourless wax is recommended. Apply a small amount using a dry, soft cloth and rub sparingly over the textile in a circular motion until fully absorbed. Leave to dry naturally for 24 hours after application.

– Pineapple in your Shoes
We use a natural textile from waste plant fibres. Piñatex fibres are the product of pineapple harvest, is made from agricultural waste and is originated in the Philippines. It is produced by local farms and this really helps to create a new industry for pineapple growing countries. No extra land, water, fertilizers or pesticides are required to produce them.
Piñatex is one of our natural fabrics. It is made from pineapple leaf fibres. The leaves – which are normally discarded – are taken from pineapple harvests and processed to make this incredibly durable fabric, with any unused fibres then redistributed to the fields as fertiliser.
It’s a completely earth-friendly process and the company responsible are working with pineapple farmers to add a whole new income stream to their businesses.
For Piñatex products we recommend a polishing cream. Eco Cream that protect, nourish and gives a natural shine to your nae vegan shoes. Made with no animal ingredients and available in brown, black and neutral. It must have the same color of the product and must be specific for the product as well. It will help to keep the original color and look.
Method of use: Removing remains of dust and dirt from the shoes. Apply eco-cream with the sponge in circles. After apply, clean the sponge with water. Give shine with a brush or cloth.

We also used recycled tires to keep them in the streets and off the wastelands. On top of the sole they have a cork cover to make them very comfortable to wear.

Our "vegan leather" is made from a mix of microfibres including mix of cotton, polyester and nylon (which is recycled wherever possible).
