Print  Specifics:
  • Type of print: Wood Engraving (Xylograph) - Original  German antique print
  • Year of printing: not indicated in the print - est. 1890s
  • Publisher: Leipzig, Verlagsbuchhandlung von J.J. Weber.
  • Condition: 2 (1. Excellent - 2. Very good - 3. Good - 4. Fair).  The print is uneven (slightly 'wavy')
    • The print was originally folded in half by the publisher, resulting in a hard crease/fold. The print had a paper binding strip attached at the back along the fold (last two photos, show front and back of the folded print).  I carefully removed the strip, smoothed out  the crease and applied artist tape on the back to prevent the fold from reoccurring. Although it is not possible to fully repair the original fold/crease, from a normal looking distance it is barely discernible. From a closer distance a thin line of the original fold can be discernible.
  • Overall Dimensions: 15 x 21 inches, include blank border around the image. (1 inch = 2,54 cm),
  • Paper weight: 2 (1. Thick - 2. Heavier - 3. Medium heavy - 4. Slightly heavier - 5. Thin)
  • Reverse side: blank.
  • Notes:
    • 1. Green color border around the print in the photo is a contrasting background on which the print was photographed.
    • 2. Print detail is sharper than the photo of the print.
    • 3. First photos show front and back of the print + detail(s)
