Early  1920's  World War I Era Handheld Dexterity Puzzle manufactured by the Irvin - Smith Company Inc. Chicago, Illinois USA and  titled  " COOTIE GAME - JUNIOR ".  It measures  2 1/2" X 4 " and has terrific identification and information printed on cardboard back. Interestingly, it states this puzzle is " GOOD FOR YOUR NERVES ". The lithograph background is great as it shows the troops of WWI in the trenches with Germans attacking with bayonets. Above are airplanes with bombs and apparently they were known of Cootie's and the object is to capture the cooties which are capsules into a metal trap at the top of the dexterity puzzle. Because of the unique subject matter this is a sensational old puzzle for someone's collection.
