This one is from 1940. It's worked in a combination of rib and moss-stitch with 

moss-stitch insets at the fronts,  a moss stitch collar, and the bows are 

actually the buttons!

The original yarn used was 8 ozs (227g) of Sirdar 3 ply Super Shetland wool, 

7 ozs (198g) of main colour, and 1 oz. (29g) of contrast. Pair each No.

11 (3mm) and No. 9 (3.75mm) needles.

Tension is about 16 sts. and 19 rows to 2 inches

Measurements to fit: 33-35 inch Bust 

The needles mentioned are old UK sizes, so I have included
 a chart to help with sizing
