“La Suite Catalane” Set of 6 Salvador Dali Tiles. 1954, Complete set of 6 painted and glazed ceramic tiles after paintings by the artist. Made in Spain. Each tile signed Dali for Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) - Spanish painter and sculptor, important representatives of surrealism. Each stamped '1954 Maurice Duchin all rights reserved' Manufactured by ADEX, Valencia. Six tiles titled 'El beso fuego', 'Las guitarras', 'El sol vegetal', 'La estrella de mar', 'Palomas' and 'Flechas'.


Please don't be confused, this truly iconic set of 6 tiles was reproduced and replicated frequently, especially after 70's. Reproductions are also Made in Spain, perfectly legit, and highly collectible objects of Dali's memorabilia. However, my auction is for extremely rare original prototype (1st edition) with clear Maurice Duchin and Dali marks. Moreover, it's coming with original boxes/packing materials. As you understand, reproduce old tiles is possible, but nobody can reproduce old wooden boxes, rusty nails, vintage stamps, etc. 
You are getting one million percent original authentic 1st prototype edition that controlled and personally accepted by Dali (made for his 50th Jubilee). 
Another important difference between original edition and replicas is HAND-PAINTING! Please pay attention, even same tiles are not identical, I took clear images to show the differences of the same areas. They all are hand-crafted, all one-of-a-kind with some deviations of sizes and shapes.

 We got them from the family of the Spanish construction developer. This gentleman worked directly with Dali representative and they bought some amount of tiles for 2 different constructions in mid-50s'. These 3 boxes and 12 extra tiles - all what they have now after construction completed in the late 50's. I can provide more details and images to the lucky winner.
