************Note that this is for the spring only not the complete latch assembly*************

5 minute job to replace spring - video link showing change procedure sent with the spring.

These are stainless steal springs and will last a lot longer than the Thetford springs (not that Thetford sell the springs separately).  Replacement spring for Thetford fridge freezer door latch V2 2005 onwards. Rather than replacing the complete assembly (Thetford Part Number 62698527) just replace the spring. It is also worth noting that at time of print the grey version of the handles were no longer being made by Thetford. The spring ensures that the door catch springs back to the down and locked position which is an important feature to ensure that the fridge door remains positively closed especially when transiting. The item will be despatched within 4 working hours of receiving cleared payment. Default postage is Royal Mail Second Class, first class can be selected for a little extra. I charge what Royal Mail charges me for postage (plus the 13% that eBay charges me for selling you the postage). Very easy to replace. Follow the photos on this listing: 1. Remove the catch assembly from the door (2 screws). 2. Separate the catch handle from the catch housing. 3. Remove damaged spring from spring pillar. 4. Refit new spring to spring pillar and push down with finger nail or blade of screwdriver to ensure fully home. 5. Align spring with catch handle and reassemble handle to housing. 6. Refit to door (2 screws). Do not overtighten. As fitted to caravans, campervans, RVs, pleasure boats, canal boats etc.
