"Phoenix Blues" is is a 7" inch 45 rpm tribute record produced and performed by an obscure Los Angeles rock band called the Weird.

This record was recorded on December 23, 1993 only weeks after the death of River Phoenix and features Bill Bateman of The Blasters on drums and was recorded & engineered by Earle Mankey.

The song is eery.  A twisted homage to the late actor that begins with the lyric,

"Come to the Viper Room and die with me."

This is an EXTREMELY RARE item as only 2000 records were printed.

It was released on Earth Day 2004 in memory of River and his strange and sudden death.

in 1994 OUT magazine called the record, "An instant collectors item."

The record is beautiful with a gate-fold cover.

The main song is 4 1/2 minutes long. The entire record is 7 minutes long.

The b-side is a tune titled, "Anubis," is 2 minutes long and also written for River.

This record is BRAND NEW.

No returns but will replace if damaged in transit.
