The Tahe Sportyak 245 (was Bic Sport) is more stable and more durable than traditional designed dinghies thanks to the hull design and the production technology.
More than 150,000 of these boats have been sold and Tahe Outdoors have set the standard by which all others are judged.
Incorporating two wide roller wheels to make handling really easy over beaches, banks and jetties.
The wheels are cleverly integrated into the design of the hull and don’t in any way affect its performance in water.
You can load all your equipment in the boat and take it easily down to the water’s edge!
The various carry handles make the boat easy to carry for one or more people. It weighs in at just 39 kg,
The rowing seat is fitted with integral “glove compartments”, and the carry handles and other openings
make it easy to fit an anti-theft cable around the boat. The flat rear design is also designed for simple,
• Safe upright storage, taking less floor area.
• Row or fit your own outboard motor
• This incredibly stable boat is ideal for fishing or for use as a tender - or just for mucking about on the water.

REVIEWS:-
I highly recommend this boat.
It is used mainly for work, clearing river banks and as a base for removing fallen trees mid stream and in the deeper parts. The boat itself is very well designed and quite remarkably stable, this is the main reason it was chosen. I can cut a tree and fill the boat all around me with wood with no notable effect upon buoyancy or stability. The wheels are helpful and seem robust. With a bit of improvisation but no drilling I have attached some semi-permanent covered storage (Allibert boxes) and that makes the boat pretty much perfect for me.
Since I guess most people will use it for leisure... it fits two adults and three small children for a bankside picnic and can carry a lot of extra kit too. A small flexi-framed windbreak fits perfectly across and can give a bit of weather protection if needed.
A very versatile, well designed and beautifully finished small craft
I live on the banks of a small sea loch which dries out at low tide to reveal a smooth, sandy shore. To reach a river which runs into the loch and gives access to deeper water at low tide, I have been searching for a small, safe, sturdy boat that I can drag, single handed, across the 50 yards of shore opposite my home. The Sportyak 245 ticks all my boxes. It weighs only 6 stones and, with its wheels, allows easy single handed movement out of the water. A lot of thought has gone into its design. It is double skinned which makes it difficult to sink. Even if one skin is punctured, the other should provide sufficient flotation to reach safety. Its catamaran design offers great stability and makes it hard to capsize, while the ribbed upper shell provides good rigidity and strength while also allowing a variety of slotted positions for the supplied seat. The rear wheels mirror the twin hulls minimising drag during forward movement. It comes with everything needed for immediate use; seat, oars, oar-locks and safety ropes. These are all easy to fit. It rows a treat and will accept a small outboard motor up to 3hp. I hope to use a Honda 2.3 outboard. The overall finish is top class and I expect it to prove durable and capable of providing lots of pleasure.
