The slim-fitting vest of this pretty and practical set pairs equally well with French or Directoire
knickers and instructions are given for knitting both designs. The set is knitted mainly
in stocking stitch with ribbed bands, whilst a dainty openwork border edge
the top and french knicker legs.
To fit a 34 Bust and 36 Hip
The original yarn used was: 14 ozs. (approx 400g) Greenock Super fingering 3 ply.
A pair No. 10 (3.25mm) needles. A medium crochet hook and
elastic thread.
TENSION: 8 sts. to the inch in width and 10 rows to 1 inch in depth.
