The Shinerun-840 also holds a variety of cable sizes by set screws and the optional ring terminal port. Access to the three set screws is from the bottom of the terminal. Each Shinerun-840 accepts one each 1/0, 4 gauge and 8 gauge wire. These screws are accessible even after the insulated color coded cover is in place.

Even with the protection of an insulated rubber sleeve it is possible to secure these wires with the 3 fixing screws at the bottom. Sturdy brass pins are inserted through the bottom of the Shinerun-840 and the installer installs the terminal by tightening the fastening screws that cross the brass pins, which are also easily removed and the terminal can be safely restored to function in seconds.
Note:
- Do NOT overtighten as it may crack the terminals.
- Tighten until the terminal is firmly connected to the post.
