DESCRIPTION

Giacomo Casanova (1725-1798) was an Italian adventurer and author. Remembered in particular for his womanizing ways, he associated with many prominent figures in Europe, including royalty, popes, musicians and artists, including Mozart, Goethe and Voltaire.

'Histoire de ma Vie' covers Giacomo Casanova's life until 1774; this work is regarded as being among the most trustworthy sources regarding society in Europe during the 18th century.

In the original French language; although Casanova hailed from Venice, he chose to write in French as it was the most popular language among the upper class.

The complete edition, in six volumes.

A smart copy, in the original French.
