(STORY)
The "Cosmic Stone (Cosmic Cube)" absorbs all the energy in the universe and gives it to its owner. When a man named "Altair" obtained this Cosmic Cube, his insanity-like ambition began. Together with his subordinates, called the "Three Masquers," he has taken various stars as his own. Altair's next target was the planet Bomber, where the Bombermen lived.
The planet Bomber is a peaceful and relaxing place with no dangers. Suddenly, Altair's base, with a huge spaceship and "pieces of stars" connected under it, descends on Bomber Town on Bomber Planet and begins its invasion. As Bomberman stands there, helpless to do anything about it, a mysterious man calling himself Sirius appears before him. He says he has a grudge against them and offers to fight with Bomberman, which Bomberman accepts in order to protect the planet Bomber.
