A very common problem with vintage Star Wars TIE Fighters is that the wings won't stay on. This kit provides an easy fix for two wings.

These will work on with little to no modification on the following vintage TIE Fighters: standard, Battle Damaged, and Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.

These can be used on the TIE Interceptor - HOWEVER, the post that these get glued to will need some material filed/sanded away to get these to fit, as the Interceptor's post is a little thicker than the others.

Choose either white or gray.

This listing is for a pair of repair clips for vintage Star Wars TIE Fighter wings  - no TIE Fighters or buttons, or other parts.

I combine shipping on items. Order multiple of this item, and it will automatically combine. Request an invoice when purchasing different items to get the combined total.

You can see a video of the installation here:

To Install:
1: Disassemble your TIE Fighter and retrieve the broken ejector button.
2: Trim off any plastic that remains above the clip's "hook" line (see photos and video for detail).
3. Clean the area on the button where the repair clip is to be installed with rubbing alcohol and a clean, lint free cloth. Let dry.
4. Apply a high quality superglue formulated for plastic to the areas on the button where the replacement clip attaches - glue on both sides.
5. Apply replacement clip. Hold firmly for drying/curing time recommended by glue manufacturer.
6. Reassemble!

Once the glue is fully cured, and the TIE is reassembled, we recommend attaching the wings and let it sit in a safe place for a few days to test the glue set. The tension from the springs on the glued part over the course of a few days should be ample to ensure proper adhesion.

For the TIE Interceptor: you will need to file the area down where these clips get glued in (on the release button post). I recommend filing a little, then testing the fit, then repeating (make sure to evenly file from both sides). Once the clip fits in place, make sure it will fit in the wing before glueing in place.

About Galactic Collector: I am a collector of vintage Star Wars action figures, vehicles, and playsets. I regularly restore vintage pieces. I never part out complete items. I often buy broken/damaged/parts lots for salvage, and will resell leftover parts from those to hopefully benefit other restorers out there.
