THIS CAMSHAFT IS A MODIFED VERSION OF THE 450HP GM LS6 CAM ALSO USED IN L78 AND L89 AND L72 425HP ENGINES. IT IS OPTIMIZED AND MODIFED TO USE THE GM RELIABLE HYDRAULIC LIFTERS. THIS CAM WILL RUN ON ANY VALVE SPRING WITH 90-160 LBS SEAT PRESSURE AND 275-350LBS OPEN PRESSURE ALLOWING FOR LIFT WITH STOCK 1.7 ROCKER .520 LIFT.

DURING TESTING IN JUNE 2022 ON OUR SUPERFLOW DYNO WE MADE OVER 580HP WITH AN L78 780CFM HOLLEY CARBURETOR ON A GM 425HP WINTERS ALUMINUM INTAKE AT 9.75:1 COMPRESSION ON PUMP GAS ON THIS COMBINATION WITH GM IRON HEADS. THIS CAM IS DESIGN ALSO TO HAVE THE SAME AGRESSIVE SOUND OF THE SOLID LIFTER L78 /L89 OR LS6 450HP CHEVELLE CAM, EVEN WITH MAINTANENCE FREE HYDRAILIC LIFTERS. THIS IS THE BEST ALL AROUND CAM /LIFTER COMBINATION WE HAVE DISCOVERED WITH OVER 25 YEARS OF CAMSHAFT DESIGN AND TESTING FOR THE BIG BLOCK CHEVROLET ENGINE 1965-1994. 

FOR 1965 AND 1966 MODEL YEAR ENGINES THE BACK CAM LOBE MUST BE GROOVED IN OUR MACHINE SHOP FOR AN ADDITIONAL $225 FEE. ALL OTHER MODEL YEARS THIS IS DROP IN CAMSHAFT. THIS CAM HAS A TREMEDOUS AMOUNT OF PISTON TO VALVE CLEARANCE ALSO WHICH MAKES IT EVEN BETTER.
