    Muhammad Tawfiq Pasha (Arabic توفيق, DMG Taufīq; Turkish Tevfik Paşa; * 15. November 1852 in Cairo; † 7 January 1892 in Helwan) was Khedive of Egypt from 1879 to 1892. Tawfiq was born in 1852, the eldest son of Ismail Pasha. In February 1879, after the violent overthrow of the government of Nubar Pasha, he briefly assumed the presidency in Egypt in a new cabinet and, after his father was deposed on 26 April 1879, June 1879 the government in Egypt.
