These are rare original one owner sets of vintage J.A. Henckels made in Germany 18/8 stainless steel flatware that are at least 50 years old. They’ve been sitting in storage unused for at least 15 years. My father was in the Air Force in WW2, and then the Air Force Reserves after that.  He bought them during one of his many trips to Germany.  This was the “special silverware" my family would use only twice a year, at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If you want heavier high quality flatware that doesn’t bend with pressure or rust, vintage items are a great choice.  They’re made so much better than the newer stuff out there.  These are stamped Friodur. This refers to their proprietary four-step ice-hardening process, which includes freezing the steel to -94°F to produce an exceptionally hard, tough and corrosion resistant blade that is very sharp and has great edge retention.

I have two boxes, each containing 24 pieces.  You can choose from the reserved looking red box, or the groovy party box LOL.  The pattern (# 2725) is the same in each box. I tried looking up the pattern number but had no luck. There’s some light scuffing on the pieces from normal use.  The boxes are pretty beat up on the outside. The red box is cardboard. The white cardboard cover has foxing.  The white box bottom is plastic.

Each box contains 24 pieces:
