WHAT A GREAT FIND!

Antique Vintage Jewelry Cicada crickets Grasshopper Brooch Pin Figural with AB crystals on the wings and eyes. Appears to be made of brass metal and probably handmade.

Condition: Preowned; Hardware intact and works. Wear and some tarnish (see photos)

This beautiful very old brooch likely dates back to the early part of the 19th Century. It appears to have been handmade. It has a C type closure on the back. It is a great Collectors Item! It will definitely get a lot of attention when wearing it as it is a fantastic conversation piece! I believe it is a Cicada ( good luck piece). I have never seen one like this so feel it is rare.

The tiny crystals which cover the wings and eyes have a great sparkle.The Metal is likely brass as it has a rose gold color. I did not try to clean it as it does have some tarnish on the bottom. There are four black dots on the head and the wings are trimmed in black. Hand cut gold colored trim on each side (legs?) Some wear shows on this part which add to its character.
