The Legend of Lotus Complete Edition -HYBRID 4.0- [Limited Edition] / Santana
This live album contains the Osaka performances on July 3rd and 4th, 1973, and the tremendous performance that the young Santana band in its first peak performed in front of the Japanese audience, and later Guinness World Records A monumental work of live in Japan, whose artwork with an exceptional scale called "22 face jacket", which is also certified as a live in Japan, is still handed down. From planning to recording, photography, design, and everything else necessary for record production was done by Japanese people, this work has a special meaning for Japanese Santana fans. At the end of last year, it was discovered that the analog multi-tape that was actually used in the recording of "The Legend of Lotus" had been stored for many years in the warehouse of Sony Music in Japan, and it was taken out of storage for the first time in 44 years. The analog multi-tape, which had never been used since 1974, recorded most of the two-day concert, although there were songs whose performance was interrupted due to tape replacement and reels that were lost for some reason. It turns out that the performance record is in such a good condition that it can not be thought of as a tape in the 70's. The sound sources that were unavoidably cut at the time due to the number of minutes recorded on the analog LP are also firmly preserved, and "Japan", "Bambere", "Um Um Um", "Holy Light", and "The Creator Has" are not on the original edition.・By adding 7 new songs (about 35 minutes), "A Master Plan", "Saver" and "Conga Solo", all the songs performed in Osaka are here. The mix of these excavated sound sources is the original "Legend of Lotus" and Beck Bogart & It was performed by Tomoo Suzuki, an engineer who has worked on many masterpieces such as Apis "Live in Japan". The equipment and cables were carefully selected in order to create a sound that would not feel out of place with the existing sound source, and the mix was dropped into the mix master while maintaining the natural and dynamic sound image of the analog tape. The 7 pieces (songs) that were missing from the original edition were beautifully put in the actual song order, and the rare masterpiece was revived as a "complete version" from the beginning to the end.
