The Ceriatone Centura is an overdrive pedal in the true sense of the word, further expanding the possibilities of tone and amp.

In particular, it works best with tube amps that are set in the perfect range of adding or subtracting distortion to the tone.

The Centura creates the highest quality tone in all areas, from clean boost to full gain settings. All knobs can be set freely to find your own unique tone. There is no mistaking any setting.

Controls

GAIN: Adjusts the intensity of distortion. The minimum setting produces a clean tone.

TREBLE: Adjusts the tone mainly in the high range, flat at around 11:30.

The actual volume will vary depending on the GAIN and TREBLE settings, although the circuit shows unity gain at the 11:30 position.

Differences from the "Classic" unit

The Ceriatone Centura produces a tone almost identical to that of the classic unit, especially if the Output is set just a little higher than the classic unit. This difference is due to the pot taper. The closer you get to full up, the smaller the difference becomes.

There are infinite combinations of what kind of music you can play with what kind of guitar and amp.

In other words, the best settings are also infinite.

Power Supply

The Centura is powered by a 9V DC adapter with a 3.5mm mini plug. The plug is TIP positive.

Battery

The Centura can also be powered by a standard 9V battery. To use a battery, open the screw on the bottom with a flathead screwdriver and install the battery into the battery snap inside.

If you feel that the tone is different from your usual setting, replace the battery with a new one. Also, if you are not going to use the instrument for a long time, remove the batteries before storing it.
