VERY RARE WWII German Death Card for Mountain Soldier With Nice EIDELWEISS INSIGNIA ON SIDE OF MOUNTAIN CAP IN PHOTO

DESCRIPTION: Very rare original WWII German Death card for mountain soldier with rare EIDELWEISS INSIGNIA ON SIDE OF HAT.  

Specifically, "Anton Karl, obergefreiter in a mountain regt, who was killed in action on Sept. 9, 1942, AGED 32, on the eastern front. " Clear photo in a mountain uniform and cap. GREAT EIDELWEISS MEDAL/INSIGNIA ON SIDE OF HAT.

Nice original way to put a story, life, and face to an unusual WWII casualty who would otherwise be only a forgotten statistic. 

Card is in excellent condition overall.
