Genuine Mercedes-Benz brake rotors may be covered in a zinc corrosion protection from the factory. This corrosion protection does not need to be removed and comes off during initial normal wear. Rotors come from the dealership with scratches on the zinc coating from transport and storage which will also come off during initial normal wear.
