Antique 1900s Five Studies in Dogs Etchings In Copper From Paintings by Sperling

  • Souvenir Book of Henrich Sperling etchings gifted to patrons of Bacon's Family Shoe Store in San Jose, California.
  • Heinrich Sperling was a German painter best known for his realistic depictions of animals, most often dogs. Born 1844 the artist Died 1924. 
  • These etchings are from his series named "The Five Senses" featuring different dog breeds including pugs.
  • 5 Etchings each titled: On The Alert, Expectancy, Treed, Serenade, Table D'Hote. 
  • Condition: Used. Cover shows age and wear, edges are worn. Interior pages are free of any writing and few if any blemishes.
  • Measures Approximately: 11" x 7"
