Boeing Historical Watercolor Series Boeing NS-1 “Kaydet”, 1934

The Kaydet was the first production model of a long series of biplane trainers widely used by the Army and Navy for primary flight instruction.

This series was built first by Stearman Aircraft Company and later by Boeing at Wichita, Kansas. Between 1934 and 1936, 61 US Navy NS-1 (Stearman Model 73) trainers were produced.
