Vintage, original , authentic ,  silent movie star b/w small size advertising card of Muriel Ostriche who was both a silent movie star and the "Drink Moxie" advertising Girl / lady.


backside has paper glued over a business advertisement in Morgantown , W. VA. "  ( West Virginia ).   you can make out the words :  "One of these picture cards given free with each ten cent purchase. 

other cards from this series I have listed have on bottom of backside of card  " The Best Photo-plays and most popular stars may be seen at the Strand Theatre " , but not on this specific card.


fairly rare and seldom offered , being not numbered , I do not know how many cards are in the set , I have at least ten different movie stars.   Some advertisements are from either different local businesses , or different cities.

not dated , aprox 1912-1916 era.  This is one single card , from an undocumented / uncatalogued , series of non-sport type silent movie star cards of the 1910's era.   seldom offered and extremely rare.

card size aprox 2" x 3  3/8" inchs.  

overall frontside is good used condition and backside has paper/glue/writing , fair at best.

Muriel Ostriche (24 May 1896, New York City - 3 May 1989, St Petersburg, Florida) was an American silent film actress. She was also the face of Moxie.

She was signed by the Thanhouser Company based in New Rochelle, New York and starred in 134 films in her career.
