This is an antique Japanese Edo Era (c. 1860) Imari ceramic plate with hand painted and stamped with designs of many different flowers including , plum blossoms, chrysanthemums and peony flowers.  This plate is a perfect example of Akai Imari wear. Some of the first ceramics created which could incorporate green, red and gold colors over the typical blue. The plate is made with high fired ceramics for lasting durability. 

This plate measures 12.25" in diameter by 1 1/2" tall (31  x 4 cm). Having been in storage for most of the past century this plate remains in very fine condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines.
