FOREWORD

With this Fourth Edition Tony’s Scrapbook go my heartfelt thanks to my listeners who have so painstakingly and thoughtfully clipped and sent me the

"scraps" which compose it, and to the authors and publishers who have generously permitted me to reprint

copyrighted articles.

As much of the material that comes to me

is without authorship, it has been a pleasurable

task to find and credit writers before presenting

their work. I regret, however, that in some

cases a thorough search has failed to discover

their names, and that I have had to print some

articles as "unknown. Should this little volume

fall into the hands of some author to whom

credit is not given, I would deem it a favor

to hear from him.

I hope that the 1931-32 scrapbook, made

possible by the kind co-operation of author,

listener and publisher, will fall into appreciative

hands and that their generosity will be repaid

in knowing that many human hearts are finding

cheer in their good thoughts and deeds.
