This boat is inspired by the penteconter, a forerunner of the Athenian bireme and trireme, an ancient Greek galley used since the archaic period. The penteconter was a long range ship, used for sea trade, piracy, warfare and exploration, capable of transporting freight or troops.

All our bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.(222100305001-B)
