A wicked full face, strong papier mache Venetian mask.   Eye-catching, this stunning iconic mask has an extremely durable lacquered finish.     Handpainted in a classic Poker design with inlays (decoupage) depicting the 'Ace' card and the 'King of Hearts'.  Embellished with gold leaf and ties with comfortable satin side ribbons. A wall hanging loop is attached if required.  Measurements approximately 17cms wide x 25cms long.

Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by glueing coloured paper cutouts onto the surface.  Each layer is sealed with varnish, often multiple coats, until the 'stuck on' appearance disappears and the result resembles a painting or inlay work.    Artisans in Italy have produced decorative objects using decoupage techniques since the 18th Century.
