L.M. Ericsson Eiffel Tower Antique Desk Set Telephone – Early 1900s

This 1890s to early 1900s desk set is an L.M. Ericsson “Eiffel Tower” and it is in fair condition and it is mostly intact. The finish of the phone has deteriorated significantly, with very little paint left on the wooden cradle mount. Where the paint has chipped away from the metal some corrosion has occurred, but it does not appear to affected the structure of the phone. The handset does not sit level in the cradle. The handset is in good condition, with an intact receiver cover and transmitter cup, however the transmitter cup is made of brown Bakelite and has tarnished somewhat. The hand crank is missing from the magneto, but the rest of the magnetos mechanics appear to be intact. The phone appears to be otherwise intact, though some connections may be missing. This is an antique item, and has not been refurbished, so some age wear is to be expected.
