Bagatelle, a Greek revival jewel, was built in 1842 by the Tureaud-Bringier family. This illustrious family built several nearby plantation homes as well.

This house offers a flexible floor plan for single story living, with the possibility of additional rooms in the attic. One adaptation of the plan could be as follows. The broad front porch leads to a traditional interior layout with central hall stretching from front to back of the house. This is not just a a hallway but it is also the main social space of the house. The main floor offers the possibility of 2 bedrooms, each with its own bath. There is room for 2 additional bedrooms and a bath in the attic. This house would be most suited for a flat or low sloping lot. It would be comfortable in a suburban or country setting. Including porches, this house has outside dimensions of approximately 54' x 68'
