In Wood Chest- brochure states the chest is Tarnish-proof approved by
Good Housekeeping Seal 

Guarantee is dated 1941, years before my spouse was born. He says the set was NEVER used. He did not even knew his mother owned it.  His mother always felt that some items were simply too nice to use and would pack them away.  We found this when clearing out the family home.
