This listing is for One Small (10mm diameter) Uranium / Vaseline Glass Marble which displays a bright green fluorescence under ultraviolet light.

There may be small small bubbles or marks inside the glass left over from the manufacturing process (see pictures).

Please note that Uranium Glass Does Not Glow In The Dark (i.e. display phosphorescence) and will only glow while Ultraviolet Light is shone upon it.

The fluorescence is due to the chemical properties of the Uranyl compound and not due to the radiation emitted from any isotopes present although some specimens can register above the natural background radiation on a sufficiently sensitive Geiger counter.

Vaseline or Uranium glass is a yellow-green glass that is made by adding small amounts of Uranium Dioxide to the ingredients of the glass formula is made which causes the glass to display a bright green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light.
