Vintage Chicago Cardinals Football 1959 Programs

This lot of two offers game programs from the NFL Chicago Cardinals final home game and final road game in franchise history.  The Cardinals were a Chicago south side fixture  since their official founding in 1920 through the 1959 season.  The franchise relocated to St. Louis in March 1960.

These two rare programs are from the Cardinals final home game, a November 29 match at Soldier Field vs. the Chicago Bears, who won the game 31-7.  The program is in EX+ condition, stored in a box for decades, with no markings or flaws.  A fascinating piece of Chicago and NFL sports memorabilia, particularly the front cover depicting Soldier Field (see photos).

The second program is from the final game in Chicago Cardinals franchise history, a December 13, 1959 match up vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.  This program is also in EX+ condition with no markings or flaws.  I obtained both of these programs about 35 years ago from a long time Chicago Cardinals fan.
