RARE CASED SHEFFIELD MOTHER OF PEARL SOLID SILVER BLADED LETTER OPENER 1908

On offer today is a splendid genuine Sheffield Mother of Pearl Handled Silver Bladed Letter Opener. The handle is made out of Mother of pearl and is in fantastic condition for its age. The handle is hand carved in a beautiful Corn pattern, making it very pleasing on the eyes.

The Solid Silver blade is fully hallmarked with the letter q for 1908 along with the Lion Passant, the Crown and the Makers mark which is HA- the Makers Mark for the very sought after Atkin Brothers. The Mother of Pearl handle on this particular letter opener is pristine as the photos reflect and looks very special. The marks are deep, clear and crisp on this piece. The blade is beautifully crafted. The letter opener is 20 cm in length and weighs 35 grammes.
