VTG 50s 60s MCM BUBBLE GUM Pink QUILTED Satin Bath Robe House Coat MID CENTURY S Small Barbie

"Barbie By The Koi Pond." Circa late 50s early 60s. A darling midcentury quilted satin robe in bubble gum pink by Marshall Field & Company. Made in British Hong Kong. A true statement piece. An example of a MCM Asian motif, this robe is complete with a cheongsam mandarin collar and an elaborate pattern featuring koi fish and flowers. While this is technically a house robe, because of the structure, with its darting and collar, you could wear this out on the town as a coat like a true rockstar. Or just stay home and wear it while baking pink cupcakes. The color is absolutely stunning and has iridescence when the light hits it.  Like a super cozy satin blanket, the fabric is a dream. It is super lightweight yet keeps you warm, like a puffy jacket. Make this a funky, stylish, more feminine and vegan alternative to a puffer down jacket. It includes deep functional pockets for cell phone, keys, a pack of Hubba Bubba. The label states size small but it should also fit a medium. Check measurements to be sure. Underarm-to-underarm it measures approximately 19.5 inches across (39 inches total.) Larger sizes can wear this unbuttoned. Shoulder-to-hem it measures approximately 38 inches. This was a luxury piece when originally sold at Marshall Field's Department Store during the mid-century. Now it's time for you to add a bit of vintage candy-colored luxury to your life!
