For sale is a vintage D4T Salt shaker style microphone from the American dynamic microphone company. It appears that someone put this microphone on a bass that was a electrovoice bass from Electra voice that was located in Buchanan Michigan.

Their microphone appears to be in good condition, but has not been tested. It has a plain black band on it and is marked Los Angeles. To the best of my knowledge American dynamic microphone made microphones in Los Angeles before moving to Pasadena and then one in Pasadena would have a Name plate where the black band is now… That being said this is one of the early microphones they made and are very desirable.

As you can see that the end has pulled off of the wire… This has not been tested, this is the way that I found it. I found this in the old garage of a motorcycle collector Who had it sitting on the shelf for who knows how long.

The base is approximately 5 inches across and the entire unit measures approximately 10 inches tall. The microphone is approximately 2 inches wide by approximately 3 1/2 inches deep.
