Larry Bird is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Throughout his career, he demonstrated an incredible level of skill and competitiveness on the court, earning numerous accolades and leading his team, the Boston Celtics, to multiple championships. He was known for his deadly accuracy as a shooter, his ability to rebound and make crucial assists, and his fierce competitiveness. Bird was named to the All-Star team 12 times, won the NBA MVP award three times, and was named to the All-NBA First Team three times. He was also a member of the 1992 "Dream Team" which won the Olympic gold medal in Barcelona.
