Introducing the Lo-Fi IW( Instax Wide) for the Mamiya Universal Press, brought to you by popular demand! I have been cooking this up in my kitchen for years and I am glad it is done(I am also pleased with how it turned out!

This 3-D printed back is an opportunity for you to maximize the versatility of your Mamiya Universal Press. This is one of my custom "Lo- Fi" designs for your creative enjoyment. It allows you to shoot Fuji Instax Wide instant film.  It is dialed perfectly into the film plane so you can use your built in rangefinder/ viewfinder to take your pictures. It uses four AAA batteries, which are plentiful everywhere. The eject button is just a momentary switch so you just hold it down until the film is ejected and then release the button. You can hear the sound it makes when it comes off the rollers, so it is easy to determine when it is fully ejected. I included a practice pack with three used shots for you to try. This takes some getting used to, but by the 3rd pack I was perfect at it!

I reinforced the mounting lugs for a perfectly tight fit that is really strong. I printed solid tops and bottoms with fill at 50 percent(much more than the average 20 percent fill that typical 3-d objects are printed).

It can be shot both upside down like the Belair back, and right side up. When shooting right side up, you will lose one shot. Please see my video that showcases the camera back, I think it will answer any questions you have! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpvYUsDZY7A

Note: out of all the backs I make, this is a passion project- with 90 percent being self generated parts. It takes me 5 times more effort to build it and I offer it at the same price-point as my other instant backs. I am proud of it, but it is not perfect. In order to get the back to fit tight to the film plane, I had to re-engineer the entire transmission, including the roller path. By necessity, the rollers are offset by 2mm. This can sometimes(not always!) cause tiny white corners at the top of the picture. This anomaly is not in any of my other instant backs, only this one. Regardless, it still takes beautiful pictures!

For other MUP accessories, like ground glass, build plates, 2x3 holders, 4x5 holders, I type backs, and type m backs, please check out my listings!

I included some fresh batteries already loaded- have fun!!

About me: I am an artist, former college professor, creative photographer, and maker. I sell mostly Polaroid cameras, shoot mostly analog, and love to hack things. I am and have always been a huge fan of the DIY movement. I have a blog called Lo-Fi and DIY com(lofianddiy).

Note: I put 15 business days handling on instax square backs because I make them to order. I often come in at earlier than that time, but when I experience a lot of orders, I will likely need a lot of that time to get it built and shipped to you. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding! Aaron
