Vtg Chinese Octagonal Metal Teapot Glass Panel Picture Inserts Foo Dog Dragon.

This is an incredibly beautiful decorative tea pot. From an estate sale of a huge Asian Decor collector, I found this piece to be unusual and very unique. I researched it as much as possible, and there were many styles, shapes and compositions of this interesting piece. I cannot interpret the bottom marking (any help is welcome), but based on other researched pieces it could be dated as the Chinese Republic era, or even possibly the late late Qing Dynasty era. Many of these pieces were made in bronze or pewter, this appears to be bronze with the gold tone. It is quiet heavy. The six painted panels depict different elders in various activities. The topper has a foo dog, the spout is connected by a dragon. Good age appropriate condition. Please see all photos as part of description for exact condition, measurements and unique detail. Beautiful conversation piece and exquisite decor.
