Original 1950s/60s 4-Seat Sofa Mid Century Atomic MCM.

Amazing piece of retro furniture up for grabs! Beautiful curved atomic style sofa from the 50s/60s era. If you love vintage, you need this in your home!!

Purchased 2nd hand around 4-5 years ago, and selling in exact same condition as purchased.

Good, solid sofa. Red cotton velvet upholstery is in excellent condition. 4 removable seat pads with zips, which can be washed if fillings are removed. I don’t think the velvet is original as it’s in too good condition for the age. The beige vinyl seems likely original & has one small tear to the front - I always planned to “fix” this but have never found the time. The springs under the left to centre seat pad are starting to go & could do with fixing/replacing but this is out of my skill set.

Basically a wonderful piece of history in very good condition for its age, that could do with a little TLC! Would make a great little project for reupholstery.

The curve of the sofa makes the piece deeper & wider than the actual seat depth/width.

Has served us well in our flat but since moving to a house we have recently purchased a full retro 3-piece suite & no longer have space for this. I love retro style & will be very sad to see it go! I wish I had the space to either keep it in my house or store it for future, but unfortunately I don’t. Would like to see it go to a good home.
