About Jeffrey H Craven  b. 1950
Born and raised at the base of the Grand Tetons, on the Idaho side, Jeff enjoys a wealth of material to draw from.  His paintings portray the tranquil times that still haunt the Snake River Valley of Idaho and other related areas.  His envy of the Indian and the timeless land is evident in his meticulous watercolors.
Jeff attended Idaho State University in Fine Art . Jeff resides with his family in Ririe, Idaho.  He worked five years as an illustrator for the U. S. Department of Energy before moving to full-time professional artist in 1979.  His many accomplishments include works that hang in the Great Hall of the Smithsonian, Arts for the Parks Top 100; and favorable reviews by the New York Times and ArtSpeaks Magazine. He’s a member of the American Indian and Cowboys Artists Association, and participates in miniature shows. His watercolors can be found in collections throughout the United States and Europe.
