From the rock specimen a hand-made thin section will be prepare on request and dispatched with 3-4 works days. All thin sections will be of standard thickness, covered by a protective glass slip and fully labelled.

I’m a retired geologist, over the last 40 years have collected and acquire numerous rock samples across the global. I now have to reduce the amount as they are taking up too much space at home. Fortunately, I can prepare standard geological microscope slides in at home, so I can offer this unique and maybe a novel thin section service to anyone who wants to add unique sections to their own collections. 

This sample of a Large Dinosaur bone fragment found on the Isle of Wight, species unknown, but probably a large plant eater due to size. In a great state of preservation (red iron oxide) with visible cellular structure. All thin sections cut cross the grain of the bone texture and will make section as large as possible.
