This is a lovely, but SMALL belt, I got my son to try it on as he has a 28 cm waist and it could do it up, but couldn't breath so you would need a 26 cm waist. There is one sharp corner on the catch that attaches to the buckle so it might need a bit of a file down so as not to scratch skin or dress. Personally, I would be tempted to to use it as the neck clasp to a cape or something if I was jolly clever and could sew. I have put that maybe it is a nurse's belt because it is more ornate than the ones I have seen before, it has a floral/foliage motif with scalloped edges and beading. It also has these diamond cut metal bits that almost look like stones as they catch the light differently.

I don't think this is silver plate, but no idea as to the metal, maybe nickel?
