Custom 3D design with small internal ribs to hold battery securely with a small cut away to ensure easy removal. 

These fit perfectly with enough friction to stay on but no so much that they are difficult to remove. The friction can be slightly adjusted. (See below).

No lips or edges on the caps so they are less likely tp catch on other tools that could pull the cap off.

The caps not only protect the contacts from short circut, but also from scuffs and also help identify them.

Why not select different colours to denote whether the batter is charged / discharged & part charged to help easily identify which batteries are usable.

Place the cap in warm water for about 10 seconds.  No hotter that a warm bath. (not boiling - it will damage the cap)

Take it out and very gently squeeze or open the split in the cap and let it cool for a minute.

Adjustment should not be necessary, but if you need to, it should only be a tiny amount.  

If the water is too hot, you will damage the cap so too cool is better than too warm.

The adjustment is due to PLA plastic having a low melting point and the split allows this adjustment.

*** Designed for genuine Ryobi batteries.  I have noticed that the non-genuine batteries that I have are a tiny bit smaller so the fit is a little looser.  This can be easily adjusted by tightening in the above step.
