The manufacturer calls for 2133MHz RAM for this MB. If you want a higher RAM speed, please buy XMP 2.0 RAM. It will boot as 2122MHz when booted. You can then enter the BIOS and pick the Speed for the motherboard. I have looked up the ROG Strix X470-F Gaming motherboard and it will function with DDR4 2133, 2400, 2666, 2800, 2933, 3000, 3200, & 3466MHz RAM. XMP 2.0 Mode RAM will eliminate boot issues. G.Skill has a RAM Match tool on their website. It will show you which RAM speeds and number of sticks will work on any motherboard made. Look it up, if you are new to building PC's. It will save you a headache.

DDR4 RAM comes in XMP 2.0 & DDR5 RAM is available in XMP 3.0 Speeds. The 2133MHz speed will be the base boot speed. When you enter the BIOS you can set the BIOS speed for the RAM that you purchased. If you purchase 3200MHz XMP 2.0 DDR4 RAM for example, it will boot in a stable 2133MHz speed and then you just pick the 3200MHz XMP speed in the BIOS. The motherboard will then set a stable 3200MHz RAM speed.
