This is a very rare and original historical photographic document showing two severely deformed individuals in some exotic location. It appears that both men are stricken with Leprosy, although it may be another disfiguring disease. This is an extremely expressive medical photo. One of the best we have seen. Here is a genuine antique Carte De Visite (CDV) photograph that dates back to circa 1870's. There are no markings. We were told that it was taken during an exploratory expedition. That is all we know. Certainly not a studio photo. The image is quite strong. The photo is in very good vintage condition with normal expected minor age wear (see photos). This picture is well over 100 years old and definitely historic and fascinating. It measures approximately 3 ¾ x 2 ½ inches. A GENUINE PERIOD ORIGINAL!
