Made of die cast aluminium with an overmolded rubber ball, both form and function are unsurpassed. Installation is simple and all necessary hardware is included. The mount is NOT an additional reservoir cover, but instead a plate that mounts above the cover using the screw holes and longer screws of the cover. The kit includes three sets of screws of differing lengths. The center two slots are 2 7/16 inch center to center and are just under a.5 inch long. This mount is not compatible with the 2016 BMW R1200RT. It locates onto the two centreline screws. We suggest dipping the new screws in an anti-seize compound when you are fitting the mount base. Then use a suitable arm, base and holder to complete the mount. TIP: - If you have no space in the centre area of your handlebars, but have cast fluid reservoir covers, then use either RAM-B-345 with centre mounted ball or RAM-B-346 with a side end mounted ball. They both have the appropriate mounting holes for either the German or Japanese bikes. - Fluid reservoir covers have either a corner 4 hole screw fixing (eg BMW's) or two centreline screws (most Japanese). TIP: Use this mount base on a Honda Pan European ST1300 on the Fluid Reservoir Cover.
